Mac Mail
1.
Start Mac Mail.
2. From the 'Mail' menu select 'Preferences' .
3. Click on the 'Accounts' icon.
4. Click on the '+' symbol at the bottom left hand corner of the accounts window.
5. Under 'Account Type' select 'POP', then enter a meaningful description in the 'Account Description' field. Next enter your 'Full Name' and your 'Email Address' you have created. Click Continue.
6. In the 'Incoming Mail Server' field enter the address of mail.<mydomain.co.nz>, where <mydomain.co.nz> is your own domain name. In the 'User Name' field enter your full email address, this should be the same address you entered in the Email Address field previously. Finally enter your password. The password entered here is the password you selected when creating the email account. Click Continue
7. Click 'Continue' on the 'Incoming Mail Security' window; no changes should be made here.
8. In the 'Outgoing Mail Server' field
enter your ISP's SMTP server.
Your ISP is the company that provides you with Internet
access. For Example: If your ISP is Telecom Xtra
then the SMTP server you need to enter here is 'smtp.xtra.co.nz'. Ensure 'Use Authentication' is not ticked. Click Continue

Click 'Continue' on the 'Outgoing Mail Security' window; no changes should be made here.
10. Click 'Continue' on the Account Summary window.
11. Click 'Done'. You've now successfully set up your new POP3 account.
If you have set up more than one account you can repeat
the steps above for each account. There are no requirements
for all the accounts to be on one computer, so if you
have multiple computers with Internet access you can
set up a POP3 account for each one.
