1.
Start Microsoft Outlook Express.
2. From the 'Tools' menu select 'Accounts'
3. On the 'Internet Accounts' window click on
the 'Add' button and select 'Mail...'
4. Type in the name you wish to be displayed to people
receiving your e-mail's in the 'Display Name'
field and click 'Next'
5. Ensure that 'I already have an e-mail address
that I'd like to use' is check and enter the e-mail
address you have created in the 'E-mail Address'
field. Once entered click 'Next'
6. Ensure that 'My incoming mail server is a POP3
server' is set and in the 'Incoming mail (POP3,
IMAP, HTTP) server' field enter the POP3 Server
address of mail.<mydomain.co.nz>, where <mydomain.co.nz> is your own domain name.
7. In the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server' field
enter your ISP's SMTP server and click 'Next'.
Your ISP is the company that provides you with Internet
access. For Example: If your ISP is Telecom Xtra
then the SMTP server you need to enter here is 'smtp.xtra.co.nz'
For a list of ISP's SMTP servers click
here and select your ISP from the list. If
your ISP is not listed here you will need to contact
then directly.
8. In the 'Account name' field enter your full email address. eg. myemail@mydomain.co.nz
9. Enter your password in the 'Password' field
and click 'Next'. The password entered here is the password you selected when creating the email account.
10. You've now successfully set up your new POP3 account.
Click 'Finish'
If you have set up more than one account you can repeat
the steps above for each account. There are no requirements
for all the accounts to be on one computer, so if you
have multiple computers with Internet access you can
set up a POP3 account for each one.
