1.
Start Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007.
2. From the 'Tools' menu select 'Email Accounts'
3. On the 'Email Accounts' window select 'Add a new email account' then click 'Next'.
4. Choose 'POP3" from the Server Type selection.
5. On the Internet E-Email Settings windows enter the following information:
- Your Name - Enter the name you wish to be displayed on outgoing emails
- E-mail Address - Enter the email address you have created
- Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - Enter mail.<mydomain.co.nz>, where <mydomain.co.nz> is your own domain name.
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) -
Enter your ISP's SMTP server. Your ISP is the company that provides you with Internet
access. For Example: If your ISP is Telecom Xtra
then the SMTP server you need to enter here is 'smtp.xtra.co.nz'
- User Name - Enter your full email address, this dhould be the same address you entered into the E-mail Address field.
- Password - Enter the password you selected when the email account was created.
6. Click Next.

You've now successfully set up your new POP3 account.
Click 'Finish'
If you have set up more than one account you can repeat
the steps above for each account. There are no requirements
for all the accounts to be on one computer, so if you
have multiple computers with Internet access you can
set up a POP3 account for each one. |
